Threat modelling

The cause of many security incidents are programming errors in software, or bugs. In some cases, these bugs can be abused by attackers to gain access to systems. By threat modeling an application, you can anticipate possible security problems, implement measures for these and incorporate measures into your design. This is called security-by-design.
